Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s stamina at the box office is very strong. After a gap of 3 long years Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is back with Sardaar Gabbar Singh. The trailer of the film has generated a luke warm response but this has not hindered the box office records on Day 1.
Sardaar Gabbar Singh which released yesterday got mixed response from the audience but still the film has beaten Baahubali Day 1 records in East Godavari, West Godavari and Uttara Andhra districts which is unbelievable and proves the star value of Pawan Kalyan. After creating a tsunami of records at box office by Baahubali, most of the trade experts felt it is difficult to break those records for another 3 years but Pawan Kalyan has smashed the records in some areas.
In West Godavari district Sardaar Gabbar Singh has collected a Day 1 share of 2.7 crores whereas Baahubali collected 2.57 crores. In East Godavari SGS collected 2.27 crores overtaking Baahubali’s share of 1.97 crores by good margin. The same is the case in Uttara Andhra where SGS collected 2.07 crores on Day 1 overtaking Baahubali which collected 1.75 crores.
In all other areas like Nizam, Ceeded and others, film has created Day 1 non Baahubali records. Let’s see whether the same can be continued or the collections will drop down because of the mixed response.
