Ram who is trying to come out of the flop streak has teamed up with young director Gopichand Malineni with a energetic title ‘Pandaga Chesko’. Rakul Preet Singh and Sonal Chauhan are the leading ladies in this movie. Touted to be a commercial entertainer, whether Ram succeeded this time… Let’s see

Plot:Karthik (Ram) is the Managing Director of a company who has got a good business acumen. He gets engaged to Anushka (Sonal Chauhan) who shares a similar qualities like Ram. Karthik who goes to India on his business work meets Divya(Rakul Preet) who works in Green Army, an NGO which takes care of animal and plant protections and fell in love with her. Divya is the daughter to Bhupati(Sampath Raj) and Sai Reddy(Sai Kumar) is her uncle. Both Bhupati and Sai Reddy are not in talking terms and creates rivarly between them. Story shifts with all the lead characters moving to the village Vizayanagaram. Why there are differences between Bhupati and Sai Reddy and how Ram is linked to them forms the rest of the story.

Analysis: Looking at the team of Pandaga Chesko one would expect this to be an out an out and out commercial entertainer. Pandaga Chesko is a story which is inspired from several of the recent released Telugu films like Loukyam, Attarintiki Daredi, Balupu. One can easily correlate the story with other films. First half of the movie takes us through the introduction of several characters and the central character Ram will be connected to the story with a regular twist in the interval. The average first half will surely be a lesser than expected comedy entertainer. Confusion comedy between Ram, Rakul, Sonal and Brahmanandam in the second half will definitely be a respite for the audience. A good first half would definitely make the film works better.

Cast Performance:
Ram: Ram is stylish and has got the choclate boy looks and he made sure he is energetic with his performance in all the scenes.

Rakul Preet: Rakul’s role is a traditional and emotional role unlike her previous films and she did her best peformance in this film. She is very glamorous especially in half sarees.

Sonal Chauhan: Sonal character is very aggressive, arrogant and she did her job well. She is very gorgeous onscreen especially in Dorikaade Dorikaade song.

Brahmanandam: It’s a cake walk for Brahmi to portray the role of Weekend Venkat Rao and his comedy timing is superb. Sampath Raj, Sai Kumar and others did the required job.

Technical Department: Director Gopichand Malineni who is known for his commerical entertainers has chosen similar subject and added all the necessary flavours like Comedy, Songs. But overall film should have been better.

Cinematography by Arthur  A Wilson is colourful and grandeur. Special care has been taken by him in picturizing the songs. Music by Thaman is mediocre.

Verdict: A Passable Entertainer
