Narasimhan, Governor of twin states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, took an initiative for the cordial meeting of Cheif Ministers of both the states. Yesterday, Chandrababu Naidu and Chandrasekhar Rao, accompanied by the speakers and chief secretaries, had a meeting for 90 minutes and discussed all pending issues.
After the meeting, Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his satisfaction over the meeting and said that they have decided to resolve all pending issues through negotiations and mutual understanding. KCR expressed his happiness that there was a positive response from Chandrababu Naidu on various issues that bothered them for long. KCR said, “Chandrababu Naidu and I will meet frequently to clear all doubts and work for the progress of Telugu people in both the States.”. He added, “If this spirit continues, we can solve all problems through talks.”
Both the Cheif Ministers decided to retain their respective Chief Secretaries and Directors General of Police, even if they were allotted to the other state through lottery system. Andhra Pradesh government has accepted the request from Telangana government to end the budget session of Assembly by September 7 instead of September 12. The Telangana budget session would start from September 12 and Telangana government had agreed to shift the Assembly secretary’s chamber from the Old Assembly building.
