As per the initial plan, metro services from Nagole to Mettuguda will not commence from Ugadi, March 21. Hyderabad Metro Rail managing director N V S Reddy said, ” Announcements for all corridors will be done by the state government. For now the March 21 route is not getting started.”
” A study was conducted by HMR and L&T and it was found that this small stretch would create a lot of problems at Mettuguda. The 8.2 km stretch on corridor 3 was supposed to be inaugurated and the schedule had been set two years back. With the launch being cancelled, the other two dates for the Miyapur-S R Nagar stretch on Independence Day, Mettuguda-Begumpet on Nov 14th are also doubtful”, added Reddy.
The entire project is supposed to get completed in 2017.
